Our Raised Spot UV business cards takes your business to a new level of luxury. Your customers will not only see the difference, with the clear spot UV gloss adding emphasis to important details, they will also feel the difference with the raised print and your choice of custom lamination.

• Soft touch (velvet-like) or matte (silky smooth) lamination
• The lamination and spot UV may slightly change/enhance the colors on your business card so please keep this in mind

What is a Print Ready PDF and how do I prepare my file?

• Make sure the document size is 3.5 x 2
• If double sided submit each side as a separate PDF file (make sure they are the same size)
• Do NOT include bleed or crop marks
• Save the files as a PDF at 300 dpi for best results (1050 pixels by 600 pixels)
• We need a SEPARATE MASK FILE to show where you would like the spot UV applied.

What Is a Spot UV Mask File?

A black-and-white PDF file that tells us where to apply the UV coating:

• Black (100% K) = Apply Spot UV

• White (blank) = No Spot UV

1. Design Your Business Card (CMYK File)

• Keep it in CMYK mode for the print-ready file.

• Save this as your standard print file.

2.  Duplicate the File for the Mask

• Save a copy and rename it (SpotUV Mask.pdf)

• Delete everything except the elements you want UV on (like logo, headline, etc.).

3. Convert UV Elements to Solid Black

• Make the remaining elements 100% black only (C=0, M=0, Y=0, K=100).

• No gradients, grays, or colors—just solid black.

• Make sure there are no outlines or strokes unless they are part of the UV area.

4. Align with Print File

• The mask file must match the size and position of your CMYK file exactly.

• Margins should be identical.
